Your First Bar Crawl: A Complete Walkthrough
First-timers always ask the same questions before joining a bar crawl: Will I know anyone? What if I don't drink much? What should I wear? This guide answers all of that — so you can show up relaxed, ready and excited.
The Meeting Point
Every Oradea Bar Crawl kicks off at Teatrul Regina Maria, Piața Regele Ferdinand I at 21:00. Look for your guide holding the OBC sign. There's no complicated logistics — just show up.
The First 20 Minutes
This is where the magic happens. Your guide is a professional icebreaker. Within minutes, a group of strangers from Romania, Hungary, Germany, the UK and beyond starts chatting like old friends. You'll get a name sticker, a brief overview of the night, and your first welcome shot — and you're off.
Bar by Bar
Typically you'll visit 4 to 5 bars over the course of the evening. Each one is hand-selected for the night based on atmosphere, current vibe and exclusives negotiated for our group. At every stop:
- Welcome shot included
- Special pricing on extra drinks
- VIP entry — no queuing
- 30–45 minutes at each venue before moving on
Who Comes on a Bar Crawl?
Mostly solo travellers, couples, small friend groups and Erasmus students. The mix is international — on any given night you might meet people from 10 different countries. The average age is 22–35, but all ages are welcome as long as you're of legal drinking age.
Do I Have to Drink?
Absolutely not. Plenty of guests come for the social experience and stick to soft drinks or water. The shots are included in your ticket, but there's zero pressure to consume alcohol.
