The Official Countdown
Piața Unirii hosts the city's official New Year's countdown, typically featuring live music, fireworks and thousands of people gathered under the gorgeous facade of the Vulturul Negru palace. Arrive by 23:00 to get a good spot — it fills up quickly.
NYE Dinner: Book Well in Advance
Oradea's best restaurants offer NYE set menus. Book at least 3–4 weeks in advance as tables fill up fast. Expect 3–5 course menus ranging from 150–400 lei per person, often including welcome drinks and entertainment.
After Midnight: The Bars
